So here I am over 15 years ago.

I didn't know then what I know now,

I bought my number plate when personalised plates just came out in NZ,

and it served as a massive anchor to me every morning. MOTV8N and the surround says,

Being a V8 the number plate looked like Motor V8ing  or

it looked like Motivation.  It really depended what lens you were looking through, but the plate was a double barrel so it meant whatever you saw first.

Every time I looked at that number plate it reminded me of my journey and what my motivation was to help people.

Many years on, lots more life experience, lots more training and well on my way to my goal for the year.

To help 1,000 this year, to some how impact on their lives.

We are in such uncertain times, and one thing I know is that I have never felt better, more anchored, more secure, have created a side hustle and can help others to do the same.

My vision is to share my knowledge and strategies.

My vision is to find more people that want to help.

How do you live your dream?

It is tricky being a mum and keeping up with everything.

Our kids ages are spread out from 12 years to 26 years, and we are grandparents too now. From time to time we also foster children.

I remember really having a loss of identity, 

As soon as you become a mum, life as you know it is gone.

Washing, dishes, feeding the tribe, house work, school drop off, school homework and then full cycle of doing it all again.

One of the things I have always loved is to learn new things, I can remember that baby brain feeling, and then after that the feeling of just wanting to do adult stuff again, talk to adults and for me I wanted to learn more things and make money.

I started my personal development years ago, I always liked the idea of learning about myself and about others.

I then decided against what seemed like all odds to start a business that worked around my children, I didn't want to lose time with them, I wanted both, to work on something I was passionate about and show up for all the kids events and be the mum who dropped the kids to school and picked them up.

I worked hard while the kids were at school and then relaxed when they got home. It was a win win.

I have always been on the look out on how to simplify this even more, working less hours for more return and being able to do my own thing during the day like the bush walks I love to do

You know the other thing I struggled with, 

was finding like minded people, people who want to live in a high vibe state and not be dragged down. 

I remember going on trainings and I loved it and then when I left the training room I felt like I had left the tribe.

I wanted that feeling of those high vibe people around me more,

you know those people,

who inspire, who hold you accountable on your dreams, who uplift you and believe in you more than you do at times.

I found that tribe, I love them, and with that came the opportunity to be part of a fantastic online community building an authentically you on line business.

There is so much uncertainty in the world and I love that I have different ways of having streams of income.

Permission to leave the comfort zone

What amazing memories of a trip to see family when I was five years old.

It made me question if I was scared to go up the slide. From memory I was to start with but then mum said I would be OK so off I went.

It is funny what scares us and what doesn't.

How a significant person made the decision that it was safe, so I trusted and off I went, one handed even, carrying a ball in the other hand.

What if the message had been, no that is too high.

I would have missed that experience.

It is the same in life in general.

We are constantly sifting through incoming data in our brains, and doing risk analysis.

This is a great thing as it keeps us safe.

What happens if all our learning sits outside our comfort zone and we miss different opportunities because of the perceived risk?

What happens if all our learning sits outside our comfort zone?

What if we were the person who sat their thinking everyone else had all the fun, the luck, the opportunities?

What if we decided today that we were going to go out of our comfort zone?

More than likely we would experience something totally new, new learnings and new experience.

I was offered a huge new experience, and I retreated back into my shell going hell no, but then I remembered that I already knew what I knew, I had already experienced those things, nothing new to report !!

Then I decided I would push myself, have something new to report, extend my comfort zone and 

NEVER LOOKED BACK !!

Scary times

It really is unsettling what is happening in the world.

The economies and job loses are scary, and you do wonder when it is going to really hit hard in your own home.

I did a lot of research before COVID-19 took hold.

I felt like I needed something in my back pocket, a just in case plan, a plan B.

I searched through multiple business ideas, none of them resonated with my values.

Then I came across one that allowed me to be me.

I am me and I am my own brand, I love that, because only I can do "being me".

Over years of coaching I learned early on that goals needed to be inline with our values, otherwise IF you achieve them they are bittersweet.

My goal for this year is to help 1000 people collectively, and I am well on my way.

I had to search far and wide to find something, some business idea, that would support that goal. A business idea that I would feel comfortable referring people I care about to.

I came across the Freedom Era and it changed the way I do business.

I now have a community of people just like me, trying to better ourselves and make the world a better place while aligning to running a business.

It has definitely given me security and peace of mind, with plan B in the back pocket. Having multiple ways to make a dollar sure does take the stress off in these uncertain times.

When is work not work?

Yesterday I went fishing with friends, something I love to do, I call it work.

Why do I call it work?

Because for me it is a time to relax, a time to unwind, a time to ground.

From that space, I can see things for what they are, and become very creative.

I have had a time when I didn't feel creative, in my 9-5 job.

Go to work, clock in, do the work, make someone else a whole load of money, put up with crap, get overworked, come home, try to unwind, only do it all the next day.

What I learned was the more time I allowed myself to be creative, the more time I had to come up with different ideas and how I could create a different income and a different lifestyle.

Over lockdown I looked hard for different things to get into, different ways of earning a buck.

In my search I found the most amazing community of like minded people. Those five people you spend the most time with who influence you, well I found hundreds. Grateful is not even a big enough word to explain how I feel.

Friends have said to me, how do you stay so high energy, how do you stay so grounded? how can you go fishing mid week, how is it I see you at cafes during the week enjoying time with your friends when you should be working?

Working, does it have to be hard, does it have to be long, like, who made those rules?

I found a platform that offered me top training to be my best more often, I have learned so many personal and business skills. When you are top of your game, things take less time.
