In the last few months, I have seen an enormous amount of tragedy happen to those around me.
It really did stop me in my tracks.
When life-changing stuff happens, it does make us stop and think,
Stop and realise, what is important.
Life can throw many curveballs, some big and some small,
If we get too caught up in the small stuff, we don't always have the energy for the big stuff that might come our way.
Being grateful for what we have here and now, allows us to enjoy each day, when we stop wishing for more and more and stop to enjoy what we have, we begin living more in the moment.
Rest in peace to all those who have lost their lives and strength to all those family members and friends that are left behind.

Have you ever dreamed of having your own business?
Have you ever dreamed of having your own business?
Do you think it might just be for "them" and not you?
Do you think you probably don't have what it takes to make it happen?
Do you fear failure?
Business plans are the foundation of any good business.
A business plan will help you plan out and do lots of research and deep questioning before you even start.
You can download many business plans of the internet, most of them run along the same lines of questions.
When do you decide to take a hobby into a business?
Effective questioning of what your product/service is, who your customers are going to be, realistically looking at expenses and set up costs, running costs, there are so many questions.
And then what is your belief system telling you, do you really believe you can succeed or do you have a self-limiting belief that might not support you?
Do lots of research, ask lots of questions, ask someone who is already doing what you want to do, they might let you know some tips and how to avoid some downfalls.
But most of all have the desired outcome that is clear and concise.
Ask a negative person to look over your business plan, negative people have a skill of pointing things out to you that they don't like or think are wrong. Use those skills, as they might just tell you something you have overlooked.
Start a business plan before you start your business.

Dream Boards
Dream Boards
Have you ever thought about what you want in the future?
Have you ever let your mind just wander unfiltered?
Have you ever dared to just imagine you were capable of anything?
Dream Boards allow you to do that.
Grab yourself a piece of cardboard that you like the colour of.
Have a whole array of magazines, articles, flyers, holiday brochures, house brochures, in fact anything that you can google that would inspire you to the future.
Cut these items out.
Remember to make up and print, or cut out inspiring words.
Dream Boards are personal to you, they are your dreams, no one elses, so no one else has a say in what goes on your dream board.
Dream Boards are wonderful for kids to make, try not to guide a child to your desired outcome, instead let them dream their dream.

Nautre, the best stress release
It is lovely to have had some nice weather.
The weather sure can have an impact on how we are feeling.
The nice weather generally makes us feel like we want to get
out and about and do things.
Whether it be around our home or out and about
visiting people and places.
Nature can offer one of the best stress releases. To be
able to STOP and look around, smell the aromas where we are, hear those
noises that nature gives us. The smell of flower, the beauty of the nature
around us, the sounds that nature gives us, the buzzing bee, the crashing of
the waves on the beach.
Another wonderful stress release is called grounding, that
is taking off your shoes and walking barefoot on the earth. This can be a
wonderful sensation and can provide stress release. Grounding or earthling has been around for
centuries. We tend to put shoes on if the ground is wet, but to walk barefoot
on the morning dew, or the grass that has been rained on, can help connect us
back to the earth.
Most of us tend to think things in our life are stressful, and
there are many fly by night potions and pills that can be sold to us to help us
feel at peace. Getting back to nature,
and enjoying nature, stopping and slowing down, to notice how wonderful the
world is and how while we are so busy, the grass is still growing, the clouds
are still moving, the tide is going in and out.
Nature does this all effortlessly while sometimes we just get too busy to
notice.

The festive season is here..
Well, the festive season has arrived.
The shops are getting busier, people are more in a hurry, the roads are getting busier and life, in general, seems to be speeding up.
A key to not letting things get on top of you is preparation and communication.
What could you put in place now, so the next few weeks are easier?
Can someone help you out with anything you need to be done?
Plan and budget presents to stop overspending.
Try not to leave things until the last minute, because it just gets frantic all round.
Be realistic with your expectations of what you are wanting to achieve.
Make sure you make time for what is important to you.
Is there a neighbour or elderly person around you that could do with a visit?
We tend to run on a roller coaster at this time of year, so maybe stop, and get off, and make a plan.
What is important to you and what do you want to spend your time doing?
Have fun over the festive season, and take care.
Looking forward to an outstanding 2017.

Caring for the Caregiver
There is a huge amount of people in our community who are in a caregiving role.
It can be parents, foster parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, looking after ageing parents, looking after special needs children, dealing with sick family members and friends, people who do paid work in a caregiver role and many more.
As a caregiver, we tend to give a huge amount of ourselves to those who we care for. Sometimes it can be a balancing act to look after our own families and care for others as well.
Caregiving is a huge role, and such an important role in the health and mental well being of those who we love and those in our community.
The selfless role that caregivers take on often leaves the caregiver themselves feeling very depleted and worn out with no energy. It is so important to take time out for yourself if you are in one of these roles.
Often people just keep on going until a crisis point comes about, and then decisions need to be made in haste and often made without feeling very resourceful.
It is so important to factor in time for yourself, time to get away and recharge your batteries. Often if the caregiver can't keep doing what they are doing, there is such a huge domino effect and a negative spiral.
The timeout can sometimes seem selfish, however, it is imperative if you are in an ongoing caregiving role.
If you are in a caregiving role, search out what resources our community has to offer to support you. Maybe start with a chat with the doctor.

Business Work/Life Balance
Work/Life Balance can be some what hard to acheive.
Over the years I have worked with many clients, and their businesses seem to rob them of the very life and freedom they are looking for.
Effective business plans and a clear understanding of where their business sits in the market place is key.
A bigger thing to understand, is themselves, how they tick.
I have been asked many times to work within a company. The "Boss" points the finger to who they think is the problem. The "Boss" points the finger to the one thing they think is the issue.
Unfortunately if The "Boss" doesnt want to undertsand how he/she ticks, then it becomes a pointless exercise.
The failure rate on businesses can be so high, I believe the success rate could be much higher if more thought and personal growth was a point to consider.
It is great to do SWAT anaylsis, business plans and projections, but if the person running the show doesnt under how he/she ticks, then there might be a few too many learning curves for the business to withstand.
